MARK IS A DANCER, CHOREOGRAPHER, SINGER-SONGWRITER, MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST, AND MUSIC PRODUCER.
He is an Emmy-nominated choreographer, a three-time winner and eleven-time finalist on Dancing With The Stars, as well as a two-time winner and four-time nominee at the World Choreography Awards. His choreography was also featured in a Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime commercial.
In theatre, he has portrayed Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys on Broadway, the Los Angeles National Tour, and at The Muny in St. Louis. He also played Charlie Price in Kinky Boots on Broadway, and toured the UK as the Clearlake Drummer and first cover for Richie Valens in The Buddy Holly Story. Additional theatre credits include the role of Tony in Copacabana, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, and a role in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
He received his training at the Italia Conti Performing Arts School in London, England.
He is one half of the indie music duo Alexander Jean, performing alongside his wife, acclaimed songwriter BC Jean, who is best known for writing the hit song “If I Were a Boy,” recorded by Beyoncé and other artists. Together, Alexander Jean has achieved over 200 million streams globally. Their breakout single, “Roses and Violets,” climbed into the Top 10 on the iTunes/Apple Music chart, drawing attention from major record labels, although the duo opted to stay independent. The track also made its way onto the Billboard “Bubbling Under” chart. Their song “Highs and Lows” found viral success on TikTok and also charted on Billboard’s Bubbling Under chart. Their cover of Marcy Playground’s “Sex and Candy” became a TikTok sensation, generating over 100 million views and more than 750,000 user-created videos. Collectively, Mark, BC Jean, and the official Alexander Jean account have amassed a combined social media following of over 2.5 million.
