WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

OBSERVERS
Parents of registered dancers are allowed into the workshop classes if they have purchased an Observer wristband through their studio or onsite. Observer wristbands will be sold at the Ovation Store for $65. Ovation uses a cashless payment model. We do not accept cash onsite at the Ovation Store. Observers do not have access to the Kickoff Show or closed rehearsals at any time. Observer wristbands are not required for the Welcome Event, Competition or Closing Show. Ovation reserves the right to limit observers within each ballroom, subject to attendance and space limitations. If the limit is reached prior to convention, Observer wristbands will not be sold at the door. Ovation reserves the right to revoke any Observer privileges. One-day Observer wristbands are not available. Observers 10 years and under are free, as long as they are accompanied by a paid Observer. NO videotaping or photography allowed at any point during the workshop classes. Still photos can be taken in between classes, with the artists, etc. Observer wristbands are NON-REFUNDABLE. No exceptions.
SCHOLARSHIPS
ALL STAR
At Ovation, Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior dancers (ages 7-19) that are registered for the full workshop are welcome to participate in the ALL STAR Scholarship Audition Class. Dancers must audition by their age as of January 1, 2026. ALL DANCERS MUST BE IN THEIR "AGE APPROPRIATE" ROOM FOR THE ALL STAR AUDITION AS WELL AS THE PRECEDING AUDITION COMBO CLASS. During the class prior to the audition, students will learn a Contemporary Latin Fusion routine. During the audition, the dancers will be broken up into groups and the Ovation artists will evaluate. Students will be chosen by the artists in each of the following age groups: Mini/Junior (7-12) and Teen/Senior (13-19). Finalists will be announced at the end of the audition. ALL STAR winners and finalists in each age division will be revealed on stage during the Closing Show on Sunday afternoon.
ALL STAR Winners will receive:
- $300 scholarship to DancerPalooza 2026 (Intensive Only)
- One Workshop Scholarship to the 2026 Nationals!
- One Ovation Tour Scholarship, to be used at any and all Ovation regional workshop during the 2025-2026 & 2026-2027 season.
- Eligibility to participate in the 2026 All Star Experience at THE ONE Nationals.
ALL STAR Finalists will receive:
- $150 scholarship to DancerPalooza 2026 (Intensive Only)
- One Workshop Scholarship to the 2026 Nationals!
- Eligibility to participate in the 2026 All Star Experience at THE ONE Nationals.
RISING STAR Scholarships
In every regional city, each Ovation artists will choose one dancer as the recipient of their “Rising Star” scholarship. This dancer may be someone who excels in class, someone who shows a lot of potential, or someone who stands out to the artists for a special reason. The Rising Star Scholarship recipient can come back to one Ovation during the 2026-2027 regional season and participate in the workshop, free of charge! Rising Star Scholarships can be awarded to any dancer, ages 7-19, in the Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior workshop levels. Dancers are eligible for only one Rising Star Scholarship per season. One-day dancers and Ovation ALL STAR Winners are not eligible for Rising Star Scholarships.
Class Scholarships
In every regional city, each artist will be awarding scholarships to dancers that excel at their particular style in each of their individual classes. This will give students the opportunity to receive scholarships in all disciplines of dance: contemporary, jazz, latin technique, etc. Class Scholarships can be awarded to any dancer, ages 7-19, in the Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior workshop levels. The number of scholarship winners may vary depending on convention size and skill level. Dancers are eligible for only one Class Scholarship per season. One-day students are not eligible for Class Scholarships.
All Class Scholarship recipients will receive:
- $150 scholarship to DancerPalooza 2026 (Intensive Only)
- IMPORTANT: Winning a Class Scholarship does not make a dancer eligible to compete in the 2026 Nationals competition. However, a Class Scholarship Winner may still audition in other cities to become a Regional All Star.
EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINES: 30 DAYS BEFORE EVENT
- All Ovation ages (Classes & Competition) are determined as of January 1, 2026.
- The workshop ages listed above are simply guidelines; Studio Owners/Directors may use their discretion to place their dancers in the appropriate classroom levels.
- Dancers must be registered for the entire workshop to compete.
- Ovation uses a cashless payment model. We do not accept cash onsite at the Ovation Store, General Info Desk or Photo/Video Booth.
- Level changes can be made within the first two classes of the workshop. Please notify the Ovation desk of any level changes and we will exchange wristbands, if necessary.
- In some cities, levels may be combined.
- Refund Policy: If an event is canceled (for COVID or any other reason), refunds will be made within 10 days of the event.No refunds if the attendee cancels. However, a credit voucher will be issued for a future Ovation event.
Fine Print:
- All Ovation ages are determined as of January 1, 2026. For example: Ages for November 2025 events will be as of January 1, 2026, and ages for April 2026 events will be as of January 1, 2026.
- Dancers' scholarship numbers are generated for each specific age division, with all ages being as of January 1, 2026.
- Teachers may register dancers for whichever workshop level they feel the dancer will benefit from the most. However, ALL dancers MUST be in the age-appropriate room during the ALL STAR Audition Combo Class as well as the actual ALL STAR Audition. Any dancers auditioning with the wrong workshop level will not be eligible for any ALL STAR scholarships.
- When a dancer wins a scholarship with one studio, he/she cannot utilize the scholarship as an "independent" or with another studio, without the permission of the original studio owner.
- One-day students are not eligible for any scholarships.
- Dancers ages 20+ are only eligible for Class Scholarships & Rising Star Scholarships.
- All scholarships must be used before the expiration date printed on the scholarship voucher.
- The Nationals Workshop Scholarships may be used for 2026 Nationals ONLY.
- Scholarships are not transferable.
- THE CLOSING SHOW: Ovation weekends wrap up with a Closing Ceremony on Sunday afternoon. All dancers, teachers, family, and friends are invited to the Main Stage once workshop classes end. The Closing Show features the final round of The Ballroom Competition, scholarship announcements, and standout performances from the Ovation Competition.
- DIGITAL MEDIA: Photography and Video recording from any media devices (i.e. digital cameras, cell phones, SLR's, Flip, etc.) is strictly prohibited during classes and competition. This is to enforce the children's safety and privacy, as well as protecting the work of choreographers and artists.
- SAFETY & SECURITY: The host hotel, facilities and Ovation are not responsible for any lost personal items or injuries. If a participant of Ovation is in need of first aid, please see an Ovation Staff member at the Info Desk. Please make sure all personal items are against the perimeter of the ballroom, under the chairs, at all times to avoid injury. All dancers under the age of 16 who are registered with Ovation must be accompanied by an adult of a legal age. All dancers registered for the workshop must complete and sign a digital waiver in order to participate. This waiver can be found in your DanceBug account once you have completed registration.
